Treyarch going all out with Black Ops 2 PC version, will utilize DirectX 11

Posted By | On 23rd, May. 2012

Treyarch wants to provide PC gamers with a competent version of Black Ops 2 on the platform, and for that they have overhauled the engine so that it supports DirectX 11. The PC version of previous CoD games weren’t something that you would call polished.

“We have re-engineered our engine so that it takes advantage of the efficiencies that DX 11 provides. We’ve worked on our graphics system, the game looks phenomenal on the PC,”  Mark Lamia told Gamefront in a video interview embedded below.

They also want to make sure there are less cheaters this time around.

“It’s important to us. We’ve been working on our anti-cheat systems. We really wanna protect the integrity of the experience that people have online.”

The game will be released on November 13th for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. Tell us what you think in the comments section below.
