John Carmack has revealed some things about next gen that will make a lot of people who are anticipating the next gen consoles, quiver in their boots.
He has revealed that increase in processing power doesn’t necessarily mean that games will be running at 1080p and 60fps, in fact, he has said that he will see more 30 fps games next gen.
“There will still be lots of 30hz games, which I don’t think it is a good trade,” he tweeted, in response to a question asked by a fan.
“If TVs didn’t add lag, it would be more clear cut,” he added.
Well, it remains to be seen if that is indeed the case, but I personally think we will be seeing a lot of 60 fps games since the current consoles are over 6 years old now. But what do I know? I am just a writer who can only speculate, while Carmack created Rage.
