Gamers who own a Vita have been clamoring for a Youtube app, and Sony never confirmed its existence until now. Yes, Youtube app is headed to a Vita near you later this year as a free download.

“With the recent announcements of applications such as nico nico, Treasure Park, Wake-up Club, and Skype, we’re continuing to build out PS Vita’s portfolio of applications,” wrote SCEA’s Don Mesa on PS Blog.

“Today, we’re very excited to announce the latest application addition to PS Vita – YouTube!”

Youtube on the system will be an interesting prospective considering the beautiful OLED screen it sports. The app will be available at the end of June and remains to be seen how the implementation will be.
