Never underestimate the impact of Naruto fans or their love for the franchise, especially the fighting games.
Namco Bandai recently announced that Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations shipped 1 million units worldwide since it’s release in March worldwide.
Of that total, North America and Europe account for 420,000 units each while Japan/Asia makes up 160,000 units.
Series producer Yusuke Sasaki stated:
I am very pleased to announce today that we have successfully shipped over 1 million units of the game worldwide…Thanks to all the fans from all over the world who bought the game. I am very pleased to be able to announce this great news, but at the same time, I feel more responsibility to the fans. Everyone involved in [Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3] is doing their best to satisfy the fans from all over the world.
Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 is currently set for a Spring 2013 release for Playstation 3 and XBox 360.
