A Plague Tale: Innocence Screenshots Paint A Bleak World

An awfully pretty picture of an awful world awaits.

A new press release from developers Asobo Studio introduces us to a new collection of screen captures from the upcoming PS4, Xbox One PC adventure title, A Plague Tale: Innocence. Of course as the title itself would suggest, the screenshots aren’t exactly showing off a world of rainbows and cheerfulness.

The title puts the player in charge of navigating two orphans, Amicia and Hugo, through a war torn and plague riddled 14th century France, around all the swarms of plague infected rats that ravage the countryside. It’s a dark title that looks like a good time. The player is said to have one tool to keep the swarming vermin at bay, a small torch held by Amicia.

Instead of taking my word for it, you can check out the gallery for yourself just below and enjoy the really nice looking vistas and decrepit ambience of a skull filled graveyard and mocking crows flying above for yourself. Will you be checking out A Plague Tale: Innocence when it launches on PS4 in 2019? Enlighten us in the comments below.
