Ace Combat Infinity Coming to PlayStation 3

Set in the real world of new skies (or something).

One of Namco Bandai’s teaser sites has finally revealed what the deal is about – and as predicted before, “Project Aces” is really just a code name for Ace Combat Infinity. The latest iteration in the flight combat simulator series will be releasing exclusively for the PlayStation 3. Check out the trailer above to see just how the game looks.

A large number of Ace Combat games have been in a fictional universe, with Ace Combat: Assault Horizon taking place on Earth. Ace Combat Infinity looks set to continue that trend, as it will be set in the real world (indicated by the presence of the continent of North America in the reveal trailer). The exclusivity is far more interesting, given that Assault Horizon released on the Xbox 360 earlier. So what’s the deal with Infinity?

A release date is still forthcoming, so stay tuned for more details as Namco Bandai reveals the game.
