The Resident Evil remake on the Gamecube is a veritable modern classic- it was the last Resident Evil game of its kind, and it represented the old formula honed to a pitch perfection. Capcom’s decision to bring it back after nearly ten years was a good one, considering how much fans have been demanding the game, but that said, there have been some who have been apprehensive of how well (or not) age might have treated this game.
As it turns out, visually, at least, the game is as beautiful as it ever was. A lot of this probably has to do with the game’s strong artstyle, although I suppose a part of it also has to do with the fact that the game was on the Gamecube, and the Gamecube was just a strong console, with games that aged well.
But yes, Resident Evil HD Remaster looks great. Personally, I cannot wait to actually play this game and revisit this classic.
