The Japanese Versions of Zelda I and II Had Different Music
We all know by now that the Japanese versions of games are always different than the ones that are shipped to the United States. But what most people don’t know is that the Zelda 1 and 2 versions had different music than other version, which really makes you think that the developers put in double the effort for the same two games. The reason why, is that the developers hooked the game up to the original Famicom and offered the ability to save games, which meant that they really had to make some extra tweaks and put batteries into cartridges to allow for save games. Now this meant that the developers had to cut the music entirely. However the developers also added an extra sound channel which meant that some of its musical tracks and sound effects sounded richer and more awesome.
