Super Mario Bros was released in Japan on Friday the 13th
Many superstitious nuts believe that even stepping out of the house on Friday the 13th spells doom and chaos. However the developers and decision makers in Nintendo, believed that Friday the 13th would be a great day for the release of Super Mario Bros. Either they had no idea that it was a Friday, or someone over there in the PR department has some major guts.
