Mario was originally a carpenter
Mario was not only the plumber we all grew up to know and love. Mario since Donkey Kong was located on a construction site, and was first originally made to be a carpenter. When he appeared again in Mario Bros, many people in the company were adamant that he should be a plumber. However he has also appeared as a doctor in the 1990 puzzle title Dr Mario and its sequels.
