If you’re in the market for a free-to-play ARPG that’s quite high on the cuteness scale, chances are ANIIMO is going to scratch that itch. The game’s second closed beta was announced at TGA 2025, and the trailer was a punchy, lighthearted showcase of the gameplay loop that’s coming.
New areas to explore, new Aniimos to capture and train, and new gameplay mechanics are slated to be a part of the beta. These join the game’s already established gameplay loop which has you exploring its world and levelling up your character and Aniimos via the activities it presents you with.
Real-time combat allows you to control either your character of Aniimo to dish out some damage against any opposition standing in your way, while the ability to merge minds with your Aniimos is going to be an interesting wrinkle on the formula.
