Nintendo have announced that they’ll be livestreaming a Direct presentation soon, focusing entirely on the upcoming Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The presentation is scheduled to be roughly 25 minutes long, and will feature “an in-depth look at Nook Inc.’s Deserted Island Getaway Package,” says Nintendo. It will go live on Thursday, February 20, at 6 AM Pacific Time / 9 AM Eastern Time.

Given that Animal Crossing: New Horizons is being positioned as Nintendo’s big early-2020 game and that it’s now a month away from launch, the Direct presentation doesn’t come as a surprise. Many will be wondering when the next general Direct will be, given how long it’s been since the last one. According to a recent insider leak, the upcoming Animal Crossing presentation is one of two Directs planned for February, with the other being a general one. Read more on that through here.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is due out on March 20, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. The sandbox sim title is already available for pre-loading on the Switch eShop.
