Apex Legends Season 2_02

Though Respawn Entertainment’s Apex Legends isn’t seeing the same level of popularity that it did at launch (especially with its revenue), publisher Electronic Arts is still happy with the results. In the company’s recent quarterly earnings call, CEO Andrew Wilson said that the performance of Season 2 is above expectations. And apparently, Season 3 is “shaping up to be even bigger”- but there’s something else on the way.

In Q2 of this fiscal year, players can expect a new in-game event. Not much was revealed, but it will apparently “bring new content and deliver one of the most fan-requested features.” Could this mean that Titanfall’s coveted Titans are making a return? Or is it something else? Time will tell, but Wilson said it will be coming “in the next few weeks”.

Season 2 introduced changes to the map – including the addition of enormous dinosaur-like creatures – while also adding a new Legend named Wattson. The free to play battle royale title also has a Ranked mode now for the more competitive-minded players. Stay tuned for more details on this new event in the coming weeks though.
