Respawn Entertainment’s free to play battle royale Apex Legends has had its share of controversies over the past month. Following reception to the Iron Crown Collection event, which prompted an apology from CEO Vince Zampella, the developer has provided an overview on its event structure. This basically outlines what can be expected with Season Launches, Themed Events and Collection Events.

A Season Launch bringing a map update and new Battle Pass or Themed Events focusing on limited/evergreen cosmetics is already a given. However, the developer teased that its next Themed Event would center “on a certain Phase Expert.” That’s Wraith, one of the more popular Legends currently in the game. If there is a corresponding town takeover, it would be interesting to see how her story fits in.

As for Collection Events, the next one is currently planned for October. Before the event takes place, the development will provide details on changes that are being made. Will Legendary skins still be priced absurdly? Time will tell. At least we know who the next Legend will be, if the recent GameStop Conference reveal was true.
