The next season for Respawn Entertainment’s free to play battle royale Apex Legends is coming up. There have been teases of a new town takeover, this one seemingly focused on Bloodhound. But in speaking to Game Informer for issue 324, general manager Dusty Welch and game director Chad Grenier provided another interesting teases.

They said that Season 5 could “potentially” have a pleasant surprise for Titanfall fans. “We’re always bringing in stuff from the Titanfall universe. We built an awesome world in Titanfall 1 and 2 and want to make sure we’re bringing that forward. I will say this: There could potentially be a pleasant surprise for Titanfall fans in Season 5.” Focus on the word “potentially” of course since this doesn’t mean everyone will like the surprise.

This could many any number of things like the return of Titans as a limited time mechanic or something else. Some theorize that with Bloodhound potentially getting his own town takeover, we could see the Prowlers from Titanfall 2 appearing in-game, if not a new map based on the planet Leviathan. Whatever the case may be, get hyped but not too hyped.

Welch and Grenier talked about some other interesting things with the publication like the most popular characters across the board being Pathfinder and Wraith. Certain characters like Caustic are more popular for professional players though. Will we see a new hero in Season 5 (Season 4 saw the arrival of Revenant)? Stay tuned for more details in the coming days.
