Sony’s premier first party development studio, Naughty Dog, seems to be interested in co-op multiplayer all of a sudden. Riding high on the waves of the success of their latest game, The Last of Us, as well as their seminal Uncharted trilogy, they seem to have an interesting notice on their recruitment page on their website: they are looking for an experienced co-op designer.

No further details are available, so we don’t even know what game they might be talking about.

Uncharted already has co-op, though The Last of Us, mercifully, did not. Maybe this is for a new IP altogether, or maybe it is just for a next generation entry in one of those franchises. No matter what it is, we can be pretty sure it will be done right. After all this while, Naughty Dog has joined the league of those few elite studios who deserve to never be doubted, simply based on their past pedigree.
