After being in Early Access for the past two years, Studio Wildcard’s ARK: Survival Evolved is now available for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. It retails for $60, double that of the Early Access price, but adds some new content via a large update.
This large update include a new storyline, new end-game content, the Ragnarok DLC (which contains a new island built by modders), otters and phoenixes. There’s also an orchestral soundtrack included for those high-octane, cinematic moments. ARK: Survival Evolved was originally slated to release on August 8th but was delayed due to the certification process.
Studio Wildcard is currently busy working on enhancements for the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro versions, especially noting that there would be no host barrier for the game on Xbox One X. This means that the game can allow players to run through it while simultaneously loading the world at the same time thanks to the console’s increased memory.
