ARK Survival Evolved Scorched Earth

Studio Wildcard’s first expansion for ARK: Survival Evolved is now available. Scorched Earth can be acquired on Steam for PC or Xbox One through the Game Preview for $20. It introduces a new desert where players must learn to survive, though you can bring items from your previous world.

Along with seven desert biomes, each with their own resources and hazards like sand storms, and 50 items like new structures and outfits, players will be able to tussle with a Wyvern, Morellatops and a Death Worm. It should be noted that some of these can be tamed for your own usage. If that weren’t enough, there’s a new Manticore boss.

Jeremy Stieglitz, lead designer and studio co-founder, stated that, “All of us at Wildcard are tremendously excited to see how these new features alter the dynamics of the long-term ARK ‘metagame.’ While we’ve had Scorched Earth and future Arks in the planning stages since the project’s inception, establishing its inter-ark travel technology was the essential reason for making this content available to players right now. We encourage everyone to grab some trustworthy tribe-mates, don your safari hats, layer on the SPF-1000 sunscreen, and head into the great blazing desert!”

ARK: Survival Evolved has also received an update to boost the native resolution to 720p while the UI is at 1080p. It also brings the Primitive+ mod for +100 new items. Two new creatures and fishing have also been added to the base experience for players.
