Armored Core 6 Fires of Rubicon

With FromSoftware’s Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon out tomorrow, Bandai Namco has released a new overview trailer detailing everything you need to know before playing. It covers the story, combat, customization and much more. Check it out below.

Set on Rubicon 3, players control an augmented human who pilots an Armored Core as part of Walter’s mercenary unit. Due to various circumstances, they assume the role of a deceased pilot named Raven and become entangled in the conflict for a rare yet volatile material, Coral. Armored Cores are mechs that can equip up to four weapons and move extremely fast, staggering opponents to deal massive damage.

Customization is a huge part of the Armored Core series, and the latest title offers options for changing parts like arms, heads, cores and OS Upgrades. For example, if you’re a fan of high jumps, equip some reverse joint legs for more vertical mobility. There are tons of weapons to use as well.

There’s more to go through, including the missions, which encompass data recovery, destroying facilities and more. Additional requests come in as you complete missions, and you’ll venture across massive structures, battling powerful bosses throughout.

Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon launches on August 25th for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5 and PC. Check out our review for more details.
