ARMS Brings Wacky Boxing to Nintendo Switch

Twist your punches in this motion controlled fighter.

The rumoured ARMS, apparently in development by Platinum Games, turned out to be real. It’s another party game for the Nintendo Switch, making use of the Joy-Con controllers to simulate boxing. Except this boxing makes for extendable gloves that can be twisted, used for blocking and much more.

Check out the trailer below to see exactly what we mean. ARMS essentially uses the Joy-Con’s motion controller functionality to simulate the boxing and offers both local and online multiplayer. It will also support split-screen play. There was no mention of Platinum Games developing ARMS though so that part of the leak is still up in the air.

Expect ARMS to release sometime in Spring. Stay tuned for more information on a more concrete release date. Meanwhile, what are your thoughts on the number of Nintendo Switch releases thus far and which one was your favourite? Let us know in the comments below.
