Assassin’s Creed 3 Breaks Pre-ordering Records, Double of AC: Revelations According to Ubisoft

The hype train rolls on as AC3 does solid numbers before it's even released.

In case you haven’t been following the news, Assassin’s Creed 3, the next full sequel of the franchise after a stream of updates to the Ezio storyline, also benefiting from Ubisoft’s largest marketing commitment in history, is kind of a big deal. So much so, that it’s become Ubisoft’s most pre-ordered game in history, according to the developer. This beats out Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, which previously held the title.

And just how far did it beat Revelations? Pre-order tallies are apparently more than double of that. GameStop, the popular video game retail store we pretend is doing good, reported that while it’s high, the pre-orders still aren’t twice that of Revelations.

The point? A lot of people want to play this game (which has already been obvious for a while now). And while Revelations had cast some doubt on the franchise’s freshness, Ubisoft has appeared to have alleviated those fears. Check it out when it releases next week for PS3 and XBox 360 and on November 30th for PC.
