Assassin’s Creed 3 is finally upon us, releasing today for consoles like PS3 and XBox 360. PC owners unfortunately have to wait till next month for their fix, but Ubisoft is marching on as a new launch trailer showcases a ton of content and plot within the newest action adventure.

Naval battles, Connor’s origins, his joining with the rebels to oppose the British, the birth of a revolution and so much more are alluded to within the trailer – yet it’d be unsurprising if something were left out. Nonetheless, Ubisoft has reportedly done well, as reviews pouring in indicate the game as one of the best of this generation. Check out the trailer above, and while you’re at it, pick up your copy today.

On another note, Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation available exclusively for PS Vita also releases today. Promising the most faithful experience of Assassin’s Creed on portables till date, it will follow Aveline on her multi-costumed journey in the cracks of the Assassin-Templar War.
