Ubisoft Montreal has released new gameplay screenshots and artwork for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, scheduled to release on October 29th for Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii U with a PC, PS4 and Xbox One release due for Q4 2013. In some of the artwork, we get a look at the different activities in the world, along with locations and the various classes of ships you’ll encounter (as well as how Captain Edward Kenway’s measures up).

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will follow the adventures of Edward Kenway in the Golden Age of Piracy as he loots, steals and murders his way to infamy. The game will feature of ton of new side-missions and quests which includes naval warfare and whaling – which Ubisoft Montreal has promised “will not be superfluous”. The combat has also been changed to allow for dual-sword wielding and four rapid-firing pistols.
