The latest issue of Game Informer seems to have revealed the release date for Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag’s DLC Freedom Cry. It will be releasing on December 17th and will arrive for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PS4 according to the advert above. As for Wii U and PC releases? Search us (but not really, please).

Freedom Cry’s content was previously teased by way of a leaked Trophies list, which indicated that you’ll be freeing slaves and fighting back against injustice. It was later revealed that players would be taking on the role of Adewale, Edward’s first mate, over a four hour storyline. Keep in mind that Adewale was freed by the time Black Flag started – so this serves as an epilogue where he sets out to free his kind.

Thoughts on the same? Will it encourage you to return to Black Flag? Stay tuned for more details as soon as an official announcement arrive via Ubisoft.
