Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag E3 Trailer is Much Ado About Pirates

Wheel stomping, whoo!

Posted By | On 10th, Jun. 2013

Ubisoft’s E3 press conference started innocently enough but soon nose-dived into oblivion once it shot itself in the foot over and over again with too many familiar titles and not enough new gameplay footage for games like Watch_Dogs, forget not showcasing much awaited titles like Beyond Good and Evil 2 and Rainbow Six: Patriots.

Regardless, we got some new gameplay footage for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag which showcased rival pirate groups fighting, both on ships and in drunken brawls in bars, before moving to a really wide ratio shot to showcase the Caribbean in all its glory.

Yes, that’s right. Not even a reveal of the multiplayer which was seen the leaked artworks. Nope, those weren’t even from E3 2013 apparently. As such, Assassin’s Creed IV looked good, but this isn’t footage that was really noteworthy to be showcased at the biggest show of the year. Check back our official review of the conference later.
