For all the hype surrounding some of the cross-generational titles, which will be arriving on both Xbox 360 and PS3 along with Xbox One and PS4, there has been considerable discussion on what the next gen console versions will do differently. In a new video for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, associate producer Sylvain Trottier talks about the technological achievements guiding the next generation versions of the game. Check it out above. Spoiler: Water is involved.
Assassin’s Creed IV has players taking on the role of Edward Kenway, the grandfather of Connor who starred in Assassin’s Creed III. Unlike this ancestors and descendant, Edward is more concerned with swash-buckling and wooing the maidens. Of course, that’s in between taking over forts, raiding naval vessels, hunting sharks and diving for treasure and stabbing his way to glory.
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag releases on October 29th for Xbox 360, Wii U and PS3, with a PS4 release due at the console’s launch and an Xbox One and PC release out in Q4 2013.
