Assassin's Creed Odyssey

Ubisoft is trying to get you to look into the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Odyssey by giving away free DLC for it before the game is even out. You can visit the game’s official website right now and get the Spartan Starter Pack for yourself for free. You can do this even if you have not pre-ordered the game. Which is great!

That said, there are no free lunches in life, and as you might expect, there’s a catch- first off, you must make or log in with a Uplay account. You need to have logged in at least once between June 11 and October 1; secondly, the items you get need to be actually redeemed in-game (which means you actually need to buy the game. Which, uh… makes sense? What use is the DLC by itself, after all?). The DLC is worth $7.50 all said and done, which, while not a lot, isn’t too shabby.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is due out on October 5. The game recently went gold, so no more delays are possible beyond this point- not that there have been any of those for this game in particular.
