Assassin’s Creed Origins En Route to Sell Double of Syndicate

Season Pass attach rate is also much better than for the 2015 title.

Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Origins has been a pretty strong success for the company, pulling the franchise out of stagnation and offering some intriguing new mechanics. It’s doing so well in fact that it’s almost selling twice as much as Assassin’s Creed Syndicate which launched in 2015.

In its quarterly investor conference call, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot and CFO Alain Martinez said Origins is currently on track to double the performance of Syndicate in its lifetime. The season pass’s attach rate is also a “lot better” for Origins compared to Syndicate as per Martinez. This means that more players were happy to put down money for the season pass after purchasing the base game (though this likely factors in Gold Edition sales as well).

Along with free content and the upcoming New Game Plus, Assassin’s Creed Origins has received paid content like The Hidden Ones. It’s next DLC pack is Curse of the Pharaohs due out in March.
