Assassin’s Creed Rogue Gets New Gameplay Videos

Assassin's Creed 4-2.

We didn’t even know that Assassin’s Creed Rogue existed, at least officially, until just a few weeks ago. But it does, and with little over two months left to the game’s release, publisher Ubisoft decided to show us a bit more of the game at Gamescom.

The two videos you see above are from Assassin’s Creed Rogue. It might be hard to tell, because it looks identical to last year’s excellent Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. And when I say identical, I mean identical. It seems to have the same libraries, textures, assets, gameplay, UI, mechanics, animation, I mean damn. You don’t actually need to buy Assassin’s Creed Rogue at all, if you want to play it that badly, just pop in Black Flag into your console, and voila, you’re set to go.

It’s a little sad, because the game, which was going to promise letting us play as a Templar, seemed like a fun proposition.

Oh well, that’s $60 less you have to spend.
