Assassin's Creed Shadows

Alongside its new story trailer, Assassin’s Creed Shadows has received several hands-on impressions, previews, and details, including the reveal of its first expansion. Ubisoft has also detailed the PC requirements, and though it doesn’t outline the amount of installation space, a solid-state drive is mandatory.

The other notable aspect is that ray tracing is on across the board with Selective, Standard, and Extended categories (applying to global illumination and reflections). The resolution, frame rate and quality settings will vary based on your hardware, though the requirements are all based on dynamic resolution and upscaling. Yes, even playing at 4K/60 FPS on Ultra with Extended ray tracing.

Thankfully, Shadows packs tons of features on PC. The in-game benchmark returns for measuring performance and ultrawide resolutions are supported. You can also leverage Nvidia DLSS 3.7, AMD FSR 3.1 and Intel XeSS 2 alongside uncapped framerates, HDR, AMD Eyefinity, and Nvidia Surround.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows is out on March 20th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.
