Ubisoft has debuted a new trailer for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, focusing on the story and bond between protagonists Naoe and Yasuke. The former faces off against Oda Nobunaga’s forces with her clan before her village burns down. Meanwhile, the latter is brought on as a vassal for the daimyo, facing discrimination at the hands of others.
Things get interesting when Naoe receives the iconic Hidden Blade from her father. It also seems that Yasuke recognizes the same, and despite his connection to Nobunaga, he decides to work with her for the sake of justice. Further details are sparse, but given the chaos of the late Sengoku period, the rise of firearms, and more, it should be interesting.
Launching on March 20th, Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. It’s also launching on day one for Steam, and pre-orders can net the Claws of Awaji expansion and Thrown to the Dogs bonus quest for free.
