Following up on reports that Assassin’s Creed Syndicate’s Day One patch was only 534 MB, Ubisoft community manager Gabe Graziani took to Reddit to clarify that there are actually two patches available on day one and they total just slightly over 1 GB.
“We actually have two patches that will be available on Day 1. The first patch (titled 1.10) will be 541MB, the second (titled 1.11) will be 534MB.”
As for rumours that Syndicate would have an 18 GB update, Garziani said, “Not sure where 18 GB came from. Neither of the patches you will need to download are anywhere near that big.”
This is good news, especially when you consider the massive updates that Assassin’s Creed: Unity had after its broken launch. It’s not as large updates are solely restricted to Ubisoft games, as Halo 5: Guardians will ship with a large 9 GB update on day one. Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is out on November 23rd for Xbox One, PS4 and PC so we’ll find out soon just how competent the development process has been this time around.
