Assassin’s Creed Unity Through the Eyes of Rob Zombie? Bloody as Revolution

Film-maker and musician showcases the French Revolution in gruesome detail.

Assassin’s Creed: Unity may be Ubisoft’s first real foray into next gen gaming, seeing as it’s exclusive to the Xbox One, PS4 and PC, but it also marks a decidedly bloodier game than we’ve come to expect from the series. Set during the French revolution, Ubisoft is looking to capture the disparate, grimy and downright merciless atmosphere of France – much like Rob Zombie has done with his animated short for the game. It sets the tone for many of the events occurring during the revolution and is definitely not for the faint of heart.

While peasants and common folk fight to out the monarchy that leeches from them – and kills any one who objects – it’s obvious that a deeper story is going on in the background. How did the rebels manage to overthrow the elite? What role do the Assassins and Templars play in all this? We’ll find out in the coming months.

Assassin’s Creed: Unity releases on October 28th worldwide.
