Gust’s remake of Atelier Marie: The Alchemist of Salburg, which also marks the game’s debut in the West, is now available on PS4, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch. As the first game in the iconic Atelier series, it focuses on Marie, who studies at the Royal Academy of Magic. Check out the launch trailer below.
After her professor provides an Atelier, Marie must create a unique item within five years. She’s free to explore the surrounding areas and gather materials, fight monsters, and take on requests from the townsfolk. In her journey, Marie can recruit adventurers to her cause and tackle tougher challenges.
Atelier Marie Remake features revamped graphics, a rearranged soundtrack, tutorials and improved exploration. It also features some quality-of-life changes, though its scope and scale are nowhere near that of contemporary titles like Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End and the Secret Key.
