Atomic Heart

Delays and a tumultuous development cycle have made the wait for Atomic Heart long and winding, but Mundfish and Focus Entertainment’s open world first person shooter RPG is finally here. Atomic Heart is out now, with a launch trailer having been released to commemorate its launch, showcasing plenty of its explosive gameplay and setting- check it out below.

Set in an alternate history 1960s USSR, Atomic Heart sees players taking on rogue robots of all shapes and sizes in an open world setting. Explosive combat and elemental abilities form the core of the moment-to-moment gameplay, with open world traversal and RPG mechanics in the game’s progression systems providing depth elsewhere.

In our review of the game, we awarded it a score of 8/10, saying, “As a first major project from a largely new studio, Atomic Heart is astounding. It is a visual spectacle with great gameplay and an overarching story that is worth seeing to the end. But as a title that is aiming to take on the other major blockbuster games of the recent past, it’s not quite there.” Read the full review through here.

Atomic Heart is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
