Atomic Heart

Atomic Heart’s alternate history Soviet Russia setting has been one of the game’s most intriguing elements in all that’s been shown off so far. The game’s world is crawling with rogue, killer machines that were originally created to help humanity in a utopian society, but are now hellbent on killing anything that crosses their path.

You’ll be facing off against a number of deadly machines in Atomic Heart, and in a new video uploaded by IGN, four of these have been revealed and detailed.

The MFU-68 Laborer is a bipedal robot with a sawblade bolted on top of it, which, as you might expect, it can use to deal devastating damage. Then there’s the RAF-9 Engineer, a humanoid robot that might look unassuming at first glance, but it can use its clawed hands to dish out vicious attacks and choke out enemies with a tight grip.

There’s also the VOV-A6 Lab Tech, a tall, lithe robot that are stronger and faster than most other mass-produced bots, and also possess self-repairing abilities. Finally, there’s the MA-9 Beylash, a giant machine with four legs that make it dangerously mobile, and a large, round head, which it can use to spew out flames.

Take a look at all four robots in the video below.

Atomic Heart is set to launch on February 21, 2023 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
