As previously confirmed, on the back of its recent Xbox Games Showcase, Obsidian Entertainment and Microsoft have provided a significantly longer and much more extensive deep dive into upcoming action RPG Avowed. Game director Carrie Patel brought new gameplay footage of the title to a recent episode o the official Xbox Podcast, where she also provided additional new details on the game.

Chief among them was the reveal that Avowed will feature a third-person camera option. Though it will be a first-person title by default (similar to past Obsidian-developed action RPGs like Fallout: New Vegas and The Outer Worlds), the game will also feature a third-person mode for those who wish to play it this way.

Plenty of new gameplay footage was also showcased throughout the new deep dive, starting with the region known as the Emerald Stair, and then going on to show plenty of combat, quests and side quests, as well as the party camp, where players can converse with party members, optimize their gear and loadouts, and more. Check out the full deep dive below.

Avowed is due out this Fall for Xbox Series X/S and PC. A specific release date hasn’t yet been announced.
