Adéwalé was multilingual, fluent in English, French, and Spanish.
I really liked Adéwalé, he was a worthy quartermaster to Edward Kenway. The 1700’s was not a good time for men like Adéwalé, because the slave trade was so rampant that they were often regarded as disposable means and not valued. Now Adéwalé was quite a man, because he not only learnt to fight for injustice but also managed to learn multiple languages, no doubt with his time with Kenway.
