Assassin’s Creed 2 DRM was hacked within day of release
Assassin’s Creed 2 was one of the most anticipated games of 2009, however the PC version was delayed to 2010 which really pissed off a lot of PC gamers. And if that were not enough, Ubisoft in all their wisdom decided to add an always online DRM, which put off a lot of PC gamers, however this was the last straw. Hackers, even before the release of Assassins Creed 2 managed to crack the DRM and many players opted for the pirated version which resulted in Ubisoft losing a lot of money.
