Defiance: Motion Blur

Motion blur is an effect we quite often see within the racing genre. Honestly, I enjoy motion blur, it’s a fantastic effect to give gamers the appearance that their vehicle is flying through the level at insane speeds. However, that doesn’t mean the effect isn’t dreadful at times, take for example Defiance. This video game might not be on everyone’s radar but for those who have played it might know the frustration that comes from dealing with the motion blur effect.

Much like how I mentioned earlier, motion blur is an effect that I believe looks good within the racing genre, not when you’re simply turning your head, and Defiance did exactly that.
