Back 4 Blood is going to bring back the co-op zombie slaying action that Left 4 Dead fans have been craving for so long, and as a game being made by the very same people who created that legendary Valve franchise, there’s certainly cause to be excited about the upcoming shooter. But that’s not all it’s going to be. Back 4 Blood is also going to have a PvP component, which has recently been unveiled and detailed.

The PvP mode, called Swarm, will be a 4v4 affair in which a team of Cleaners (regular humans) will go up against a team of Ridden (or zombies, basically). Players can play as several different kinds of Ridden, each with their own unique strengths and abilities and applications of those abilities. Meanwhile, the developers have also detailed various weapons and other systems, such as customization. Check it all out below.

Back 4 Blood launches for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 12, and as recently announced, will be available for Xbox Game Pass on Xbox consoles, PC, and xCloud on day 1. An open beta is also arriving in August.
