At The Game Awards last year, Don’t Nod and Focus Entertainment unveiled Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, a new action RPG that caught the eye with its brief debut trailer. Updates on the game have dried up since then, but recently at Summer Game Fest, a new gameplay trailer was showcased.
Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden focuses on two protagonists, Antea Duarte and Red mac Raith, who are not only lovers, but also work together as Banishers and fight mysterious and supernatural threats. When a tragic event resulsts in Antea becoming a spirit herself, the two embark on a journey across the haunted wilds of North America.
The trailer, which you can check out below, showcases plenty of glimpses of the combat, while also offering a taste of what the game’s choice-based storytelling will have in store.
Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is due out before the end of 2023 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
