Batman Arkham Knight Season Pass

The first DLC for Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham Knight will be out on July 14th and stars Batgirl as its central protagonist. Thanks to Entertainment Weekly, some new details about Batgirl: A Matter of Family have been revealed.

Taking place before the events of Arkham Asylum, it sees Batgirl teaming with Robin to rescue Commissioner Gordon from the Joker. You’ll be heading to the Seagate Amusement Park, a new area set on an oil rig that features all manner of traps. Th DLC has been developed by WB Montreal which worked on Batman: Arkham Origins.

DLC designer Justin Vazquez stated that, “We wanted to recreate the feeling of being trapped in a bizarre and unique environment playing a game of cat and mouse with the Joker.

“Hacking is really what separates her from the other characters. It’s a gameplay mechanic with which the player can create situations for Batgirl to really shine.

“Our intention was that Batgirl should be less powerful than Batman, but that Batgirl plus hacking could give her opportunities do things that not even Batman can pull off.” The Batgirl will act as a sort “love letter to the original game that started this incredible franchise” so it should be worth looking out for.

Season pass holders will get the game on July 14th while general consumers can purchase it for $6.99 on July 21st for PS4 and Xbox One.
