Batman Arkham Knight

Batman will need all the help he can get in Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham Knight and that will include new weapons. The new Disruptor, seen briefly in the newest trailer, will instantly remind fans of a similar weapon from The Dark Knight Rises. In a new Community Spotlight thread, the developer talks more about the weapon’s functions.

The Disruptor is meant to disable enemy weapons and can even detonate them by applying two charges on a single weapon. You can also rig weapon crates to shock enemies who run towards them in combat. It will also help when tagging vehicles for Batmobile chases. Obviously the Disruptor is meant to be used for pre-skirmish preparations. A long range scope is present, allowing it to be fired from long distances.

However, other upgrades to the device give it even more flexibility. For instance, it can be used to hack the Arkham Knight’s Drone Turrents, causing them to explode when locking on to Batman. You can target other enemy devices to either deactivate or turn them in your favour.

Batman: Arkham Knight is out on June 23rd for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
