Batman Arkham Origins (2)
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment have confirmed that the upcoming Batman: Arkham Origins, a prequel to Arkham Asylum/City in development by Warner Bros. Montreal, will feature an online multiplayer mode to play alongside friends and fight competitively. It will apparently blend the traditional gameplay of the Arkham series with third person shooter mechanics and is currently in development at Splash Damage.

You’ll essentially play as Batman or Robin and fight against opponents, controlled by other players. They can also take the role of Super Villain Elites, working alongside Bane or the Joker. They can even call on the classic villains to aid them in fighting and ultimately turn the tide of battle.

Batman: Arkham Origins is set to release October 25th 2013 for PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC, and will see the Dark Knight battling Black Mask and a cavalcade of assassins such as Deadshot, Deathstroke and many more.
