Warner Bros Montreal has revealed a bevy of new screenshots and artwork for the upcoming Batman: Arkham Origins, the follow up to the award winning Arkham series previously developed by Rocksteady Games.

As a prequel to Arkham Asylum, Origins will feature a younger and significantly less scarred Batman fighting a war against crime boss Blackmask. Other DC Comics villains like Penguin and Deathstroke will appear to stake their claim on the Dark Knight’s life.

Of course, Batman will have the tools necessary to survive. A new two hook grappling system for hooking enemies on to objects and toppling objects onto crowds is being implemented along with the previous Free Flow combat system. He may be less experienced but he’s still as deadly as ever. There will be new environments that will showcase both modern-day and Old Gotham.

Batman: Arkham Origins is slated to release for PC, PS3, Wii U and Xbox 360 on October 25th worldwide.
