Battle Chef Brigade

If you’ve never heard of Trinket Studios’ Battle Chef Brigade, we don’t blame you. Funded by backers on Kickstarter, the hand-drawn title mixes RPG mechanics, puzzles, cooking and brawling into one delightful smorgasbord. You can pick it up for PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch.

Battle Chef Brigade tales place in Victusia where chefs compete for a spot in the titular faction. You control Mina and Thrash, each with their own fighting styles and cuisine, hunting monsters and killing them to use their ingredients in meals. These meals must then be prepared in timed puzzles, all in an attempt to impress the judges.

Along with the normal story mode, there are Daily Cook-Off leaderboards along with other modes like Puzzle Rush and Break the Dishes. The visuals are perhaps the best part of the whole experience with the anime-esque, hand-drawn aesthetic. Check out the release trailer below to see it for yourself.
