Borderlands developer Gearbox Software has finally revealed its first Xbox One and PS4 exclusive project in the form of Battleborn. Announced in Game Informer, Battleborn has been described as a “first person battle arena” that will also be heading to the PC. Battleborn is a completely new IP and will be published by 2K Games.

According to Gearbox. Battleborn will combine several genres together and act as a highly stylized first person shooter with co-op. There will also be a large number of heroes to play us in the game.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is another game that Gearbox has a hand in but it is being primarily developed by 2K Australia and will make use of the Borderlands 2 engine. It is also releasing for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, though there is a chance it could arrive on the Xbox One and PS4 if there’s enough of a demand in the future.

What are your thoughts on Battleborn? Are you bummed that Brothers in Arms: Hell’s Highway is still nowhere to be seen? Let us know in the comments.
