Gearbox Software’s Battleborn will begin its open beta on PS4 come April 8th at 5 PM UTC. The PC and Xbox One beta will start on April 13th and it will go offline for all platforms on April 18th, 2 PM UTC.

The beta can be pre-loaded on April 6th, 12 AM UTC for PS4/Xbox One and 5 PM UTC for PC. It will have two story “episodes” with Void’s Edge and The Algorithm to play along with two multiplayer modes – Incursion and Meltdown. It was also noted that all 25 heroes will be playable.

As for the episodic structure, the full game’s story mode will have a prologue and eight episodes which each apparently being a story in itself. The season ends when the game finishes, which essentially fuels speculation of future seasons and episodes as DLC.

The beta will be 8.5 GB on PS4, 11 GB on Xbox One and 12 GB on PC. Battleborn releases on May 3rd for Xbox One, PC and PS4.
