Process will be handled directly through EA.

Battlefield 1

Battlefield 1 players on PC will be able to rent their own servers as per EA. The program has been around since Battlefield 3 and some more information on how this would work with Battlefield 1 has been divulged.

As per EA, it’s possible to go through the in-game store to rent your own server and set up your own in-game rules. You’ll be going directly through EA rather than working with other parties authorized by the publisher. EA’s own support will also be handling any issues that come up.

Along with customizing the server name, players can change game modes, map order and whatnot. Some options will be locked but more information has yet to be provided. More options could arrive depending on what players say.

Stay tuned for more details for the Rent-A-Server program as Battlefield 1 inches closer to launch. It will be out on October 21st for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
